  The "W" links on the year line take you to a Wikipedia webpage that details the year in music, cinema, small screen "Wtv", world events, or sports "WS".  The "F" link on the year line links to FAHS details, e.g. school sports scores, etc.

  Each Year has two #1 songs listed, chosen for being near the beginning and end of the school year.  Clicking on the text takes you to an external website (found by John Zody) http://www.joshhosler.biz/NumberOneInHistory/SelectMonth.htm . Once on that website you can explore the website links there, including finding the Billboard #1 on any specific day.
